AWM Antivirus Removal Instructions (Uninstall AWM Antivirus)
AWM Antivirus is classified as a rogue anti-spyware application, which belongs to the same family of malware as A-Fast Antivirus. The unreliable application gets distributed with the help of Trojans and fake ads trying to convince you that you should scan your computer, because it contains errors. You should always be careful when it comes to suspicious online adverts, because you can infect your system by simply clicking on them.
Once the harmful program gets installed, it uses various tactics in order to trick you into purchasing its “full version”. Needless to say, that is the last thing you should do. We advise that you terminate AWM Antivirus as soon as possible.
How does AWM Antivirus work?
The main symptom of the AWM Antivirus is that it runs a fake scan. The malicious software pretends to scan your system and once the so-called scan is complete, it shows you results that contain numerous threats including viruses, Trojans, spyware, and so on. The malware attempts to convince you that all of these threats are present in your system and that the only way to fix them is to purchase its full edition. Even if the results of the scan were not made up, AWM Antivirus could not help you clean your PC, because it is a harmful infection itself.
In addition to the bogus scan, the rogue anti-spyware also uses other deceptive tricks. It blocks some of your programs from running and shows you false alerts like “Critical System Warning!”, “Your computer is infected! Windows detected spyware infection!”, and so on. These notifications are just as unreliable as the scan results. If you want to eliminate all these symptoms from your computer, you will have to delete AWM Antivirus. Before you can do that, however, you will need to active the so-called antivirus. You can do that with the help of one of the following activation codes:
B0B302F772; C197C46C46; B20C1467B7; 041E4B235A; 25CCCC7329; 9926220EED; A58EC19D33; C15F2FF276; F61E370D62; DDAD6A7A2C; 9F8122FE00; 3754DD9DA6.
