Why are you seeing the pop-ups?

Adware is generally attached to programs that you get from those free download websites. They are attached so that they can install alongside the program if you don’t notice it. Those settings will not only show if anything has been added, but will also allow you to deselect all of the items. You just need to uncheck a couple of boxes, and can then continue installing the program. Avoid Default settings because they will hide all extra offers, and they will install alongside. You could be asked to participate in survey, with random questions, or to spin the wheel of prizes. Whichever one you get, don’t interact with them, and definitely don’t give them your personal information. Oftentimes, these kinds of scams ask you to provide your personal data so that they can send you your prize, etc. Since this is not legitimate, you would just be giving your information to malicious parties.
