Hoewel het zien van uw eigen wachtwoord in een bedreigende e-mail eng lijkt, worden de wachtwoorden eigenlijk verkregen van hackerforums. Het betekent zeker niet dat iemand uw computer heeft gehackt. Het betekent alleen dat een service waarvoor u het wachtwoord hebt gebruikt, onvoldoende wachtwoordbeveiliging had en dat ze een cyberaanval hebben gehad.
