What is Msfeedssync.exe

Msfeedssync.exe is a legitimate process that belongs to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser. It runs the Microsoft Feeds Synchronization task to update the RSS feeds in Internet Explorer. It’s completely safe and should not be causing any problems. Deleting it needlessly could cause problems. The legitimate Msfeedssync.exe will be located in a folder in C:\Windows\System32. You can check the location by opening Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del), right-clicking on the process and selecting Properties. The location will be displayed in the General tab. You can also check the Digital Signatures tab to check that the name of the signer is Microsoft Windows.

If the file is located somewhere else or the signature is not Microsoft Windows, you could be dealing with possible malware that’s trying to disguise itself as a legitimate process. While not very common, some malware may be able to successfully disguise itself as some kind of legitimate file, in this case Msfeedssync.exe. If users don’t have anti-virus software installed, it may take a while for them to notice the malware as it would purposely hide itself to avoid detection. Anti-virus would immediately detect it, however.
